Dates

Each entry is dated to the event itself, not to the reports about it: the day a rule was adopted or took effect, a market closed, a court ruled or funds moved. Where an event ran over several days, or its sources differ, the summary explains.

Sources and confidence

The numbered links under each entry go to the documents it rests on: court records, the pages of regulators and governments, exchange notices, project announcements, block explorer records and press reports, with archived copies where an original has moved. Entries marked Reported rest in part on press reports or other secondary sources, because no primary source confirms the central claim; the others are confirmed by a primary source. Past events on the overview's events list appear here too.

Amounts

Where the sources give a figure in US dollars, the entry shows it as the amount cited. What it measures depends on the entry (the value stolen, moved, laundered or forfeited, or a fine), and the summary says which. Amounts are as reported at the time.

Names

The names under an entry link to the project's profile, or to the country's or exchange's entry on Access and rules, where this site has one. Access and rules shows where privacy coins trade today and what each jurisdiction's rules say; dated changes to that data are on the Changes page.

Information only, not legal or investment advice. Check the linked sources before relying on an entry.
