  4. Site Live transaction ticker on the Activity page

The Activity page now opens with a Live panel that lists privacy transactions as they reach six chains, read from the public nodes and block explorers named on the Sources page: Tornado Cash, Railgun and Privacy Pools on Ethereum, Monero, Zcash, Privacy Cash on Solana, Liquid and Aztec. It shows only what any public node sees, never an address, with amounts only for the fixed amounts of Tornado Cash pools and for fully transparent Zcash transactions; the list can be filtered by protocol and paused, and the events are kept for 7 days.

    More on Activity

  5. Site About page: corrections policy and licence

The About page now sets out the corrections policy: how entries are checked, how to send a correction with a source and how one is applied, with a note on the Changes page and in its feed, and a table of when each part of the data was last checked. It also gives the data licence (CC BY-NC 4.0) and the citation line, what the site does not do, and the terms of each upstream source as read on 16 October 2026.

    More on About

  6. Site Activity page

A new Activity page charts daily use beside the value locked: Monero and Zcash transactions, Railgun's private transactions and shields, Tornado Cash deposits, Privacy Pools deposits and withdrawals, and Privacy Cash and Aztec transactions. Each chart says what it measures, its limits and its sources.

    More on Activity

  7. Site Anonymity sets page

A new Anonymity sets page counts, once a day, the crowd each privacy pool hides a user among, read from the projects' own contracts and nodes: Tornado Cash deposits and unspent notes, note commitments in Railgun, Zcash and Privacy Cash, Privacy Pools deposits, and Monero's ring size and outputs. Every figure has its source and time, with a chart per measure and a note on what the counts do not show.

    More on Anonymity sets

  8. Site Bitcoin privacy section

The Protocols page has a new Bitcoin privacy section on 12 privacy tools for bitcoin itself, from the Liquid sidechain and coinjoin wallets to Silent Payments, PayJoin and Ark, each with its status, how it works, what free public data can measure and its sources, and a chart of Liquid's L-BTC supply against the federation's bitcoin reserves since 2018, updated daily. None of it counts in the private DeFi TVL.

    More on Protocols

  9. Site Calendar page

A new Calendar page lists 18 dates ahead, to October 2027: deadlines in laws and rules in Brazil, Kenya, the UK, the EU and Japan, FATF meetings, the retrial of Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm and the Zcash NU7 network upgrade, each with how firm its date is, a countdown and its sources, then the past events. The seven past events were checked again against their sources, so the Zcash Orchard fix is now dated 3 June 2026.

    More on Calendar

  10. Site Data downloads, changes page and RSS feed

The data behind the site can now be downloaded as CSV files from a new Data page, and a new Changes page lists dated changes to exchange listings, country rules, protocols and the site, also as an RSS feed.

    More on Data

  11. Site Funding page

A new Funding page lists 65 disclosed funding rounds, token sales and grants for 29 projects from 2016 to 2026, each with its amount where disclosed, its lead, its investors and its sources, with totals by year and a note on what the figures leave out.

    More on Funding

  12. Site Private share of DeFi

The overview has a fifth headline figure and chart: the private share of DeFi, which is private DeFi TVL divided by DefiLlama's total DeFi TVL across all chains, daily since December 2019, excluding Tornado Cash with an option to include it.

    More on Overview

  13. Site Protocol profiles

Eight projects now have a profile page, linked from the Protocols page: Monero, Privacy Cash, Privacy Pools, Railgun, Shield Swap, Tornado Cash, Zama and Zcash. Each sets out how the project works, what it hides and what it does not, a chart of its TVL or market cap, its audits, incidents, milestones, funding and risks, with sources for every entry.

    More on Protocols

  14. Site Summary of the 16 October 2026 release

This release adds nine pages (Timeline, Activity, Anonymity sets, Funding, Watchlist, Wallets and tools, Calendar, Data and Changes, with an RSS feed), eight protocol profiles, a Bitcoin privacy section on Protocols, the private share of DeFi on the overview and a rebuilt About page, each described in its own note. It also adds a daily check of which of the seven coins the 14 exchanges list for spot trading, read from each exchange's own public market API and charted on Access and rules.

    More on Access and rules

  15. Site Timeline page

A new Timeline page lists 104 dated events in private DeFi and privacy coins from 2016 to 2026: exploits, sanctions, prosecutions, court rulings, regulation, exchange delistings, shutdowns, launches and upgrades, each with its sources. The overview now shows the five newest.

    More on Timeline

  16. Site Wallets and tools page

A new Wallets and tools page lists 28 wallets, swap routes and tools with privacy features: 18 wallets for Zcash, Monero, Bitcoin, Ethereum and other coins, 6 swap routes and 4 tools, each with its coins, platforms, what it keeps private, whether it is open source, its maintainer, its status, its last release and its sources, checked on 16 October 2026. A listing is not an endorsement, and the page says to download only from each project's official site.

  17. Site Watchlist page

A new Watchlist page lists 31 privacy projects that the site follows but does not count in its figures, in seven groups from confidential tokens and privacy-focused blockchains to networks for institutions, Bitcoin and stablecoins, each with its status, what it hides and from whom, its backers, its latest milestone and its sources.

How changes are recorded

Where entries come from

Exchange listings
Dated listings, delistings and restrictions from the exchange data on the Access and rules page, each with its sources. A change in the exchange table that has no dated entry of its own is logged on the day it is found. The daily check of each exchange's own market data also logs, on the day it first sees it, a coin found trading where the table says it is not, or not found where the table says it trades; the table changes only after review.
Country rules
Each jurisdiction's strongest rule, dated from when it took effect. A change of level found between two runs is logged on the day it is found. EU members without their own entry follow the European Union entry.
Protocols
Found every hour by comparing the protocol list with the previous run: a protocol added or removed, a new status, or a change in whether it counts in the totals.
New listings
Protocols that DefiLlama adds to its Privacy category, found by the daily check. They are not counted until PriFi.info has reviewed them.
Site notes
New pages and other changes to the site, written by hand.

Dates

Exchange changes and country rules carry the date of the event itself, which is why the list reaches back years. Changes found by the hourly comparison or the daily exchange check carry the day they were found, which can be a little after the event.

Feed and downloads

The RSS feed carries the newest 50 changes and is updated every hour. The full list is in changes.csv on the Data page, under the same licence as the other files there.
