Notes and sources by coin
ZEC Zcash Restricted since 22 May 2018
Not offered for trading to customers in Singapore, where ZEC deposits and withdrawals are also disabled; Gemini's UK-facing notice and legal disclosures also bar ZEC trading for customers in Europe (and the UK, per the UK notice), where Gemini ceased operations on 6 Apr 2026
Spot pairs ZEC/USD, ZEC/GUSD, ZEC/RLUSD and ZEC/USDC are open; Gemini issues transparent t-address deposit addresses but has accepted deposits sent from shielded addresses since 2018, and withdrawals go to shielded z-addresses and unified addresses (routed to Orchard since November 2025, with Ironwood supported from launch in summer 2026, exact date not published); the start dates of the regional restrictions are not published.

Perpetual and networks, checked on 19 Oct 2026
Perpetual: none listed. Deposits and withdrawals: Zcash.
ZEC spot pairs are open, Gemini's network API lists only the native zcash network and its status page shows Zcash deposits and withdrawals operational (although disabled for customers in Singapore), and Gemini's perpetuals include no ZEC contract.
Shielded Zcash, checked on 19 Oct 2026
Deposits from shielded addresses: credited. Gemini has accepted ZEC deposits sent from shielded z-addresses since deposits opened on 19 May 2018 and repeated this on 29 Sep 2020; its deposit addresses are transparent t-addresses (help article updated 21 Jan 2026) and its 2025 posts tell users to keep depositing to them. Its latest statement on shielded deposits predates the NU5 upgrade that added the Orchard pool (ZIP 252 was created on 23 Feb 2021), and no Gemini page addresses deposits from Orchard or Ironwood funds, so orchard is not listed. ZEC deposits and withdrawals are not available to customers in Singapore.
Withdrawals to shielded addresses: supported. Withdrawals were transparent-only at the 2018 launch; Gemini added withdrawals to shielded z-addresses on 29 Sep 2020, withdrawals to unified addresses on 6 Aug 2025 (connected to the Sapling pool at first) and Orchard routing on 7 Nov 2025, when it said withdrawals route to the strongest privacy layer available. Its 29 Sep 2026 post says it supported Ironwood, the pool that replaced Orchard under NU6.3 (activation height 3,428,143, reported live on 28 Jul 2026), on day one; per Zodl, Ironwood uses existing Orchard receivers. Whether TEX addresses are accepted is not stated.
