ZEC-USD spot is online and Coinbase lists two open ZEC networks, native Zcash and Base, where contract 0xB2000000000000000000008501b13360000cb2EC reads Coinbase Wrapped ZEC (cbZEC); the US Coinbase Derivatives venue lists a USD-settled Zcash perp-style future (ZEC-20DEC30-CDE) that trades, while ZEC-PERP on Coinbase International Exchange shows trading paused, with its last quote on 1 Oct 2026.

Shielded Zcash, checked on 19 Oct 2026
Deposits from shielded addresses: credited. Coinbase's ZEC price page says customers can receive Zcash from both transparent and shielded addresses (read on 19 Oct 2026), the rule Coinbase set when ZEC deposits opened on Coinbase Pro on 29 Nov 2018 and repeated for Coinbase.com and its mobile apps on 5 Dec 2018; the page does not split shielded sources by pool, so Sapling and Orchard deposits are both taken as covered by its wording.
Withdrawals to shielded addresses: not supported, transparent addresses only. The same page says sending to shielded addresses is not supported at this time, as Coinbase has said since its 2018 launch posts, and the public address rule accepts t1, t3 and TEX addresses only; when TEX was added was not established. Coinbase Exchange also lists a Base network for ZEC (contract 0xB2000000000000000000008501b13360000cb2EC), a token on Base rather than native Zcash, with the zcash network as the default.

No state exclusion found, New York included (reported). The Coinbase pages that could be read set no state limit on ZEC but do not address state coverage: the US price page (archived 23 Aug 2026) flags ZEC as tradable for country US and the US how-to-buy page (archived 10 Jul 2026) says ZEC can be bought in the United States. Coinbase, Inc. has held a New York virtual currency licence since January 2017; its 5 Dec 2018 ZEC launch left out New York residents, and The Block reported that Coinbase opened ZEC to them on 10 Feb 2020. No Coinbase page confirming current New York or state-by-state availability could be opened, as coinbase.com and help.coinbase.com refused direct requests (HTTP 403). The United States page has the state-level note.
